FRONT BEACH
Vung Tau

"Our plan is to fly to Bangkok in September next year, from there we cycle more or less straight up to Vientiane and then follow the Mekong river through Laos and Cambodia to end in Vietnam, where we then cycle via HCMC to Vung Tau and up the coast to Da Nang where we will end our journey, because we want to settle there indefinitely."

Front Beach

Vung Tau - over the years has become the most touristic city in Vietnam with many beautiful small beaches that run around the city. Front Beach is one of the two largest and most beautiful beaches of Vung Tau. Front Beach is characterized by a shallow sandy beach, deep sea, low waves, so it is not an ideal place for swimming. But Front Beach is not that it does not attract tourists. Front Beach, also known as Tam Duong, is surrounded by two mountains.
The city center is located on the beach of Front, so there are many hotels and restaurants to serve tourists, creating an extremely lively rhythm of life. Front Beach is located in the southwest of the city and is therefore very suitable for watching the sunrise and sunset at sea. Along the coast are rows of coconut trees with a park full of flowers and a walk to hear the rippling waves and equally interesting.

The coastal road along Front Beach

Being an anchorage for fishing boats, the sea water in Front Beach is not as clean as other beaches in Vung Tau. However, at high tide, the area next to the beautiful Bai Front Park is still a beautiful beach, which attracts many tourists and people of Vung Tau.
Especially at night Front Beach is a pleasant entertainment center for foreign and domestic tourists, almost all streets in Vung Tau come out here. The bars are brightly colored, karaoke is dark and busy. Beach people love to sing, vibrant lights from sunset to midnight.
The bars and restaurants are also busy and visitors can stroll at night and enjoy the rich specialties here.

Vung Tau is a country of both mountains and forests, so the specialties here are very popular with many people. While visitors don't only visit Front Beach, they can enjoy a variety of dishes across the city. From the main courses such as Long Huong soup cake, fresh fish specialties like eel, grouper, lobster, crab, oyster ... ready to serve at travelers request, to snacks like banh khot, banh beo, chao shrimp, grilled meat .... with many aromatic herbs that are typical of the taste of the southern homeland.
In addition, there are cafes that run along the entire beach equally attractive. The cafe at the foot of the pretty White Palace is an address not to be missed when it comes to Front Beach, a beautiful old house over 100 years old that is a specialized museum.

The White Palace or White Villa

When you come to Front Beach, you not only come to relax and enjoy delicious food, but here are also many famous tourist activities in Vung Tau, which are very close to Front Beach.
Ho May (Amusement Park) is on top of the mountain and to get here, visitors will experience the cable car system. From here you can also view the city of Vung Tau from a whole new and expanded perspective. Ho May Park is the most entertaining and entertainment complex with many new and exciting games that appeal to young people.
Statue of Christ the King is also a tourist destination that everyone who comes to Vung Tau cannot ignore. It is also considered to be a major challenge. To see Vung Tau from the highest peak - the statue of Christ - visitors must climb about 1,000 steps. The height of the statue is about 200 meters above sea level, this will certainly be an extremely beautiful view.
The lighthouse is also a famous landmark of Vung Tau. It is a proud symbol of the people here. The lighthouse is located at the top of the small mountain. Construction started in 1862 and it was renovated in 1913. The lighthouse has a classic architecture and is one of the oldest lighthouses in Vietnam and Southeast Asia. to guide ships into the harbor at sea. Today this is a very popular place.
