Binh Thuy Ancient House
"Binh Thuy Communal house is one of the must visit when you're in Can Tho even though it's located on the outskirts of town. For fans of culture and architect, Binh Thuy Communal House gives you glimpse into what an estate of a mandarin would look like back in the French colonial days.
I just wish the property has more professional maintenance as it's definitely a treasure. The whole property is not that big and you'll spent about 30 minutes to an hour going through it.
Along with floating market, this is one of the places in Can Tho worth paying a visit.
HINT: If you're lucky and the great grand daughter of the house builder is on premise, you can ask her to give you mini-tour of the house."

A wooden screen, which is intricately decorated with animals and vegetables, separates the front with the middle section. The rear part of the house is also used as living space, such families still do, if they live together with several families. Shutters can be put open to let in the sunlight.
